What is your Purpose?

purpose statement

What is your Purpose? What is your purpose statement?

purpose statement is a declarative sentence which summarizes the specific topic and goals of a document. It is typically included in the introduction to give the reader an accurate, concrete understanding what the document will cover and what he/she can gain from reading it. … Concise – one or two sentences.

Life is a journey and we are in this journey together so if you are willing to share your purpose statements please do so.  I believe in working together in accomplishing the goals we all have to serve others. So how can we Pray and support you?

Core Values

core values

Core value: Customers

Customers are gold in all businesses.  It is the customer that we all need to purchase or use our services.  When people purchase our services, or use our products we must put ourselves in their shoes.  The way we see people should be through the eyes of servants.  The servant puts the person they serve and their interests first.

      We have seen a shortage in America of serving others.  When we were a young country we saw the principles of customer service. Customer service is more than saying thank you.  The person who smiles we often refer to as having customer service skills.

   The true nature of customer service is having a product or service that people need to make their life better.  It is filling a need in our society.  There are industries that started out meeting needs.

Health care

Financial service

Morgages

Lawyers

Accountants

Counselours

Police

Fire fighters

Military

Public Serivce

Ministers

Sanitation

Natural Resources

Realitors

      The list above is not exhaustive but it allows us to see how these are key professionals in our country. Look at the list and then consider what would happen if these people acted in just their own best interest. We have seen examples of some people who do act in their best interest and trust is lost by many.

     The American culture is built on trust and honor.  The trust that professionals will do what is right for others and be paid for that trust. We always had a culture in America of trust worthy professionals that have had great impacts on society.

       The professional is defined by Webster as “the conduct, aims, or qualities that characterize or mark a profession or a professionalperson.”

Perry the Wise Owl

Perry book

We are excited to have our new book coming out today.

Perry the Wise Owl series allows adults to instill moral principles in the lives of children. This book on lying and stealing will help children understand why lying can hurt so many people. Perry teaches Tommy great truth about lying and about taking things that do not belong to him. These are issues children deal with as they grow up, and it is important they come to have character in their choices.

These books will not only help children that you may know, but with our scholarship program, it can help others further their education. So, get a book for yourself and one as a gift. It will keep giving forever.

Empowering Ideas

Empowering Ideas

We must take some time to practice listening to ideas and exploring them. It is only then, we can understand if they have merit or not.  Ideas will come in many shapes but a lot of them will not be used right now.  Some may have the potential to be the next big idea.  So, it is worth taking some time and writing them down.  Taking time to work out the details allows us to find the wisdom of ideas.

     Remember, there must be an element of faith, purpose, actions and logic in how to accomplish these ideas. Some ideas should be kept later that is why a journal is a good idea.  These creative ideas can be a wealth of information which can earn someone a lot of income.  We pay for value in our society, if these ideas come with a lot of value. They could always pay well.  They could also change a lot of lives.

     Another key is to become a thinker, someone who exercises their brains.  There is a difference between daydreaming and being a thinker.  Daydreamers dream of lots of wonderful things but no actions are required because they will not follow up with intentions.  The thinker will think things through.  They will decide the actions to allow the idea to develop.  The thinker then will put some actions steps to ideas to determine if they are usable now or later possibly. Daydreamers are a dime a dozen but thinkers are not found near as often with all the work required.

      We must move to the thinker side of things to discover if it is a good or bad idea.  We will get better at this process over time and be able to take what once may have been a weakness and make it a strength.

      God will give us wisdom as we work through our ideas.  We are given a great power to think through ideas to work towards making them happen.  We need faith and actions working together in the right direction to accomplish the goal.

Foresight – The Power to see.

Foresight

Foresight is a characteristic that enables the servant-leader to understand the lessons from the past, the realities of the present, and the likely consequence of a decision for the future. It is also deeply rooted within the intuitive mind. Foresight remains a largely unexplored area in leadership studies, but one most deserving of careful attention.

Let me put it another way. Foresight is seeing what others may not see ahead that is coming.  There were a lot of people who did not see the internet as a life changing tool.  Many people today are just a short way from true success and breakthrough in many areas of life.  The key is they need to exercise the mind to begin to see foresight.

     We are born with an amazing tool, the mind.  The fact is Doctors will tell you we are lazy with our minds most of the time.  We need to use thinking skills to allow us to tap the potential we to grow.  The potential to find the answers to problems. Today let us continue the journey of exercising our minds to see foresight.

Servant Leadership

The servant is defined as “one who performs duties for others” (Webster). When we focus on helping others reach their goals and accomplish their dreams. Faith and action are about to blossom. The greatest things that happened too many of the great Entrepreneurs were by accident.  While trying to serve those people they are dedicated to them who made a discovery. Mother Teresa said “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples”.

Seasons Change

The seasons of our lives change

In life we have seasons we go through. There is season in life of the building of our lives.  We all have a season of life to build our careers and work toward building a home of some kind.  The home can mean a single home, family home, legacy, or whatever we are inspiring to accomplish.  The season of building often will last for many years of our lives and for some may last a lifetime.

In this season of building we have other seasons of life that come along.  We must be aware of seasons of change in our lives. Even though the building season may never stop.  There are times we have delays. We go through stuff and stuff happens to us.  These are season of life with many others to come.

The key I want to point out is that we need to be aware of changes and seasons we are going into and out of.  The better we get at understanding these changes the more prepared we are to weather any storms. I wanted to remind us today that we must have an awareness that seasons in life come and go.  The more we pay attention to these coming seasons and prepare for the coming seasons of life the better we weather these times.

Yes, I know some may be wanting more information or thinking their is so much more to this. Of course this is true so keep the conversation going in your life.

The Business season changes

The productive person knows that certain seasons call for certain kinds of work.

       There are no short cuts we must pay attention to the mundane details that make us successful. Seasons change as we see with our eyes.  With those changes, we must notice and see the signs of change in our business.  The signs are all around us of growth, personnel changes, events in the world, social changes, things like the internet changed businesses forever.

      Those who did not see the changes right away paid a price.  Those who did not see the internet coming were behind.  Some they still are playing caught up because they have not found people to help them stay up with changing technology and how it impacts their business.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8King James Version (KJV)

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Reaching for Goals

Small short-term goals

       Every time you set and achieve a goal, your confidence and sense of competence increases. Start your journey by setting small achievable goals and then taking the steps necessary to achieve them.

       Set some easy goals that you would like to achieve this week. It could be applying for that great job you really want or exercising after work tonight. Every time you achieve a small goal, set a new one. As you build your confidence in achieving small goals, you will believe you can achieve big goals.

What is important to you?

Let’s be honest, to achieve any worthwhile goal requires you to do things you would prefer not doing. If your goal is not HIGHLY important to you, you won’t do what’s required of you to achieve it. The obstacles in your path won’t be worth overcoming, because the prize isn’t important enough.

What are the biggest obstacles

      When you look at your goal, ask yourself, “What will be required of me to achieve this goal? What will be the biggest obstacles I will have to overcome?” Make a list of all the things you will need to do and challenges you will likely face and be honest about it.

Will I do what I must to achieve this goal?

       This is the time when you need to be honest and ask yourself one more time, “Is this goal important enough to me that I will make the sacrifices necessary and do what is required of me every day to achieve my goal?” We have to sell out.

milestones

       Break your goal down into smaller goals. If your goal is to making 10,000 extra money this year, then set the dates when you will be at $100.00, $500.00, $1000.00 AND SO ON.  If eating right or changing other habits are what you need to do then set these goals with milestones to help keep momentum.

Break your plan down into daily activities

      If you are going to achieve any worthwhile goal you must know what you should be doing each day.  It i knowing what we must do everyday that allows us to keep momentum today the goal.  We see a large goal ahead to say make 100,000 dollars then we need a daily, weekly, monthly, plan or we get overwhelmed.   Just to see that is 273.97 a day or $1917.81 a week.

Following the plan

       Once you know the actions you need to take every day, you must use your personal initiative and discipline to do what you know you should do, even when you don’t feel like doing it. Use grit or will-power to overcome those obstacles.

Be accountable

      Accountability partner always help you stay focused but no one care like you do about your goals. It’s your life and these are your goals. We need to be responsible to follow through on the goals we have. No one care like we do about our lives.

Enjoy the journey

       Do not be all about work and not play.  We have to experience fun. or some reward.  Give yourself a little something every time you push yourself outside your comfort zone. As you reach each goal, reward yourself.

See your goals coming true

      The best way to stay motivated and disciplined is seeing your goals coming true. Create a vision board or something to see and check off things you have done.  Small success leads to larger success.

Hope these help!

Stand and Trust!

stand

When we hear Christians say stand do we really understand what that means?

Does the single mom understand?

Does the Father trying to be a good husband and dad understand?

Do the hurting people going through things understand?

How about just trust God? What does that mean?

Sometimes it seems like people just feel like God is going to just bless them somehow with great wisdom, money, or provisions for whatever is wrong.  Like it will just fall from the sky, but is that what the bible is talking about?  Miracles happen after all but that is not how God typically does things. God loves to use people to bless us or help us.  Sometimes it is those failed relationships, lost opportunities, jobs, children, family, and the list goes on that He uses to grow and teach us.

God uses these tough times in our lives to build the character of God in us.  We often here the word transformed used by Pastor’s or even read it in the bible.  Transformed means we are going through a process to change us.

Change is apart of our lives, so is pain and joy. God does not love us any less because of the season we are in life.  We sometimes question our seasons of life. God is glad to help us through each season even when it is the final season for us on earth.

What does it mean to stand?

Here are just a few keys I hope will help.

  1. The Word of God is powerful that is why we are to be washed with the water of the Word. Meaning we actually need to read it, learn to understand what it is saying, then apply it to our lives and situations.

  2. Prayer- this is our communication with the creator of us all. Prayer can be as simple as learning to talk to God.  We talk about our day, lives, problems, solutions, pain, joy, and others who need help.  I have meant to put this simply.  Prayer need not be hard it is simple. Then, when we thank God, tell God about our lives, tell him of others needing help stop, and listen with silence.

  3. Learn the principles of daily living. Learning the daily principles of living are keys to living a life God can bless.  God has many promises in His word and He is faithful to carry them out.  We also have a part to play in those promises.  We must understand them and what is expected of us.

  4. Learn what the fruit of the Spirit is. Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. These are things we are to grow in our lives.

  5. Humble ourselves and surrender to our purpose God has created for us to fulfill. We must be able to enjoy the journey even when it is not what we expect. The purpose God has created us for will fulfill us.

  6. Realize the Holy Spirit is there to teach us, help us grow, lead us. And empower us to live out our lives for Christ.

With God, the words stand and Trust are action words.

Miraculous things happen when faith and actions come together!

Understand these are just a few things but a great start.
