Becoming Greater People of Trust

Trust is often misunderstood we use it only to judge other people’s actions and not our own.

We should be people who also focus on becoming people others can trust with integrity, Sincerity, Consistency, Commitment, Competence, and Reliability is just some of the areas of trust we should work on in our own lives.

Trust others and their actions?

Answer: they only will do it right some of the time, they will fail at some point.

Trust in our own selves?

Answer:  We too may be able to depend on us most of the time, but we too will even fail our own selves.

We should be grateful for what others do and we can do but trust in Gods ability to always be right and understand people will not always do it right or at least our version of right.

13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

10 Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalms 9:10

We should have the confidence of course in the abilities God has given us and in others to do the right things but we must not be so surprised when others make mistakes it is part of growing and learning.

We must be careful not to be involved in only judging others trust but becoming people of trust.

7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. Psalms 20:7

Surrender it all at the Alter

the alter

The Alter is a place to bring all the junk of life and lay it down.

The question for us all is when is the last time we were at the altar? When is the last time you poured out your heart full of concerns, the things we love, want, what hurts and things we wish we can go back and change?

We all have stuff in our life we are ashamed of and even scared to share with others.

God is waiting and willing to listen to our concerns, faults, failures, and even out victories. God is always waiting for us to enter into His presence and bring our sacrifices to the Alter.

The Alter is also a place for forgiveness and change. Most may not realize the Alter is also the starting place for revival in our lives. The dreams we once held dear, the pains of failures, the power to forgive others and to even forgive ourselves start at the Alter. We deal with the mess in our lives and we learn who God truly is at the Alter.
