Tips for today, living without panic or fear

98% of what we fear happening never happens

People get panicked so easily when their trust is in everything else.  The truth is that markets will go up and down, diseases will come and go, if we focus on all of that then we would be on a rollercoaster of emotions and fear.  We need proper perspective understanding that if our hope is in God, we have a future that is secure no matter what is happening in the world around us.

Here are some biblical tips to help us today:

Proverbs tells us to diversify our investment into many areas.

We are to love others and look out for them not being selfish

Giving is a key to our success in life. We should always put back a portion for saving after giving a portion and then living off the rest here is a formula, we use that might help.

10% giving

10% savings

80% living off for normal expenses.  Keeping our mortgage or rent below 30% of income is also a great idea.

Proverbs is full of these tips as well which reinforce what I am saying.

Understand interest good and bad- divide your interest in saving or investing into 72 it tells you how often your money can double or compound.  Also understand it works the opposite on loans and Credit cards.

Our home is not as much of an investment as it does not generate income so remember it’s great to have a home we all need a place to live but if possible to buy one with an apartment or shared living can add more value to make it an investment instead of a liability only.

Ok now let’s look at our attitudes.

Living by faith is important

Loving others, being kind, and giving

We have things happen in our world and wisdom is far more important than fear.

Example: Covet 19

We must live wisely by keeping distance too and taking great measures to keep from getting sick or spreading it to others.  Taking great care of those who are at high risk is important, but this already should be what we are doing with the Flu and other viruses as well.

Praying for each other, our leaders, and those who are sick are important.

Giving thanks for what we have is very important

Taking time to be with our families and remember how important people are to us is important.

If we do not panic our lives will go back to normal in many ways, the markets will go back up again they always do, and if we are ready spiritually having things right with God knowing Jesus as our savior we are ready for eternity.  Life here is temporary anyway but eternity is forever.

Isaiah 41:10 New King James Version (NKJV)

10 Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

There is much more that can be added but I hope these few tips will help us focus better today.
