Tips for today, living without panic or fear

98% of what we fear happening never happens

People get panicked so easily when their trust is in everything else.  The truth is that markets will go up and down, diseases will come and go, if we focus on all of that then we would be on a rollercoaster of emotions and fear.  We need proper perspective understanding that if our hope is in God, we have a future that is secure no matter what is happening in the world around us.

Here are some biblical tips to help us today:

Proverbs tells us to diversify our investment into many areas.

We are to love others and look out for them not being selfish

Giving is a key to our success in life. We should always put back a portion for saving after giving a portion and then living off the rest here is a formula, we use that might help.

10% giving

10% savings

80% living off for normal expenses.  Keeping our mortgage or rent below 30% of income is also a great idea.

Proverbs is full of these tips as well which reinforce what I am saying.

Understand interest good and bad- divide your interest in saving or investing into 72 it tells you how often your money can double or compound.  Also understand it works the opposite on loans and Credit cards.

Our home is not as much of an investment as it does not generate income so remember it’s great to have a home we all need a place to live but if possible to buy one with an apartment or shared living can add more value to make it an investment instead of a liability only.

Ok now let’s look at our attitudes.

Living by faith is important

Loving others, being kind, and giving

We have things happen in our world and wisdom is far more important than fear.

Example: Covet 19

We must live wisely by keeping distance too and taking great measures to keep from getting sick or spreading it to others.  Taking great care of those who are at high risk is important, but this already should be what we are doing with the Flu and other viruses as well.

Praying for each other, our leaders, and those who are sick are important.

Giving thanks for what we have is very important

Taking time to be with our families and remember how important people are to us is important.

If we do not panic our lives will go back to normal in many ways, the markets will go back up again they always do, and if we are ready spiritually having things right with God knowing Jesus as our savior we are ready for eternity.  Life here is temporary anyway but eternity is forever.

Isaiah 41:10 New King James Version (NKJV)

10 Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

There is much more that can be added but I hope these few tips will help us focus better today.

Pray, Repent, and seek Gods healing power for our heart, soul, and body.

Pray, Repent, and seek Gods healing power for our heart, soul, and body.

It is time to come together we unite in unity.

Fear not but have faith.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Today I bring a powerful message, a reminder for us to humble ourselves.

God created us in His likeness and gave us all the opportunity to serve and love Him. Fear can be overcome with God, death has no victory with God, we can stand strong knowing whatever happens to us today, tomorrow, or 10 years from now Heaven awaits.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life John 3:16

If we repent of our sins, humbling ourselves God Is faith to forgive us and to save our souls and heal our land. It is time to cry out to God ask forgiveness, pray, accept Christ into our hearts turning from our wicked ways so God can heal our land.

Christians today should stand in faith believing knowing God is able to deliver us out of every situation. God can give wisdom to the doctors, workers, leaders, and all of us today for this time and those to come. Fear not, God is still the same today yesterday, today, and forever.

Today I want to remind you I am available to pray with you.

Powerful Words

Power words

Some of the most powerful words we will ever use on a daily basis in our lives are going to be listed here in this article. I hope that you take the time to review them and use them as they are life changing for us all.

The words are listed below

Forgive me: We all should be using this word often in our lives with others in our families and with those we come into contact with. People who have pride in their lives often struggle with Forgiving others or even saying the words forgive me.

Sorry: Forgive me is a close friend to I am sorry but it has the power to allow people to see inside our hearts and our actions. Sorry is more than a word it is an action. When we are truly sorry we stop the behavior to the best of our ability and make restitution in some form. It is a condition of our hearts and before we ask others to forgive us we must have sorrow or be sorry or it is hollow and loses the power it was intended to have.

I forgive you: A close friend to Sorry, and forgive me is I forgive you. One of the greatest Cancers in our world is not forgiving and it grows into bitterness. People die, have disease and many other issues due to or contributed by not forgiving others and the anger, bitterness and rage building inside their lives. When we do not forgiving others we harm ourselves more than anyone else. The act of forgiving is an action word it requires us to move to action and continue to forgive when we start to pick back up the issue we are forgiving. This is one of the hardest things in life to do with our relationships but most rewarding. Marriages, friendships, and other relationships are impacted daily by forgiving or not forgiving they are stronger or weaker.

Thank you: The words thank you can become a powerful way to express our gratitude toward others who have done something nice for us. The act will also build others up and encourage them and our own selves.

I love you: People love this phrase in life. Families will often tell each other that they love them and then fight, argue, and the list goes on. Married couples say I love you then a year or two later they are divorced. What changed it was there type of love. There is the surface I love you or emotional love which is temporary based by how people make us feel. Then there is true love or as the Bible would put it Agape l love, this kind is based in actions and commitment. It is not based on just a surface love but commits to love in spite of how you feel and work to make the love greater and deeper.

Encourages: Here is a power way to build others in life like our spouse, friends, co-workers and much more. One the greatest leadership keys in life is to encourage others. Speaking truthful words of affirmation, kindness, recognition, will go a long way.

Trustworthiness The ability to be able to be trusted is of great value in our world today. Just look at our political environment, people talked out of both sides of their mouths. They do not know what it means to be trustworthy in many cases or even what integrity means. People redefine what values are and leave out absolute truth in their lives. It is like building a house on sand by the ocean and expecting it to stand when the waves start hitting it. People who are not trustworthy fall on their faces all the time always getting in their own way.

Friend: The word here is interesting because we have many definitions of friends. The friends I want to talk about are those people who come into our lives we have an opportunity to grow their lives or they may grow our lives. Friends are not just meant to benefit us but to allow us to help them and them help us Jesus taught us how great it is to become servants to those around us and even lay down our lives for our friends. Friends do not help others fun to wrong or wicked things that can hurt them but help their friends stay on track and encourage growth toward their goals in life. They help share our ups and downs and should love us despite our faults while holding us accountable to grow.

Habits: Habit is a tool in our toll-box of life that has the ability to push us in the right or wrong directions. Just think what if there was a way to move ourselves in the direction of what we want in life Habit is the car we drive to get us were we want to go. The sad part is often we are driving our car in one direction toward our goals and then we take a side road and end up somewhere else. Our habits must be looked at carefully to see if they live up with our life goals. When they do not we are just driving in circles not really going where we want to.

Jesus: The first priority to get right so the rest of life falls into place better. When we except Christs love in our hearts we can truly find our purpose in life and what will truly make us happy. He helps us to have the right habits work in our lives, and allow the power words I have listed and so much more become even more effective. Jesus died to reconcile God’s creation to Himself. Once we are in harmony with that we can build the life that will truly make us happy and find purpose for our lives here on earth and forever more. The power of a personal relationship with Jesus beyond our imaginations, it is limitless. We are adopted into God’s family taking our places as Sons and Daughter of the our Creator. Just think of all the blessings our creator wants to give His Children.

Servant: The person who learns to just follow this principle in 50% of their lives will be forever changed. I am not sure we can ever master any of these power words but as we implement them more in our lives we will become greater in every way. Putting others first is a concept misunderstood and often forgotten when people are wanting to gain success in life. The truth we can become successful by the definition of some people but it is hollow without Servant mentality. People who learn to serve others become people who push others up and help them reach their dreams and life purposes.

Leader: The leader is a person who has people following them in some way. I have always loved the phrase that helps us to see this truth. If you are leading and no one is following you, it is just you taking a stroll. Leaders have people following what they are doing. People follow us when they see how much we care about them and our combined purposes. Leaders cannot truly lead effectively without incorporating Servant Leadership I believe. Leading is serving those we have the opportunity to influence in our lives. Parents, professionals, and so many others have the ability to lead.

I know this is not exhaustive by any means but it is a resource to help us begin thinking of the power of words and our life. Words become alive and powerful so we should understand how to use these tools in our lives. Thank you for reading

Becoming Greater People of Trust

Trust is often misunderstood we use it only to judge other people’s actions and not our own.

We should be people who also focus on becoming people others can trust with integrity, Sincerity, Consistency, Commitment, Competence, and Reliability is just some of the areas of trust we should work on in our own lives.

Trust others and their actions?

Answer: they only will do it right some of the time, they will fail at some point.

Trust in our own selves?

Answer:  We too may be able to depend on us most of the time, but we too will even fail our own selves.

We should be grateful for what others do and we can do but trust in Gods ability to always be right and understand people will not always do it right or at least our version of right.

13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

10 Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalms 9:10

We should have the confidence of course in the abilities God has given us and in others to do the right things but we must not be so surprised when others make mistakes it is part of growing and learning.

We must be careful not to be involved in only judging others trust but becoming people of trust.

7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. Psalms 20:7

Surrender it all at the Alter

the alter

The Alter is a place to bring all the junk of life and lay it down.

The question for us all is when is the last time we were at the altar? When is the last time you poured out your heart full of concerns, the things we love, want, what hurts and things we wish we can go back and change?

We all have stuff in our life we are ashamed of and even scared to share with others.

God is waiting and willing to listen to our concerns, faults, failures, and even out victories. God is always waiting for us to enter into His presence and bring our sacrifices to the Alter.

The Alter is also a place for forgiveness and change. Most may not realize the Alter is also the starting place for revival in our lives. The dreams we once held dear, the pains of failures, the power to forgive others and to even forgive ourselves start at the Alter. We deal with the mess in our lives and we learn who God truly is at the Alter.

Shaking off the Dust

Placeholder Image

There are times when we need to shake off the dust of life.

The goals we have we often dream of accomplishing but daydreaming and actual work are two different things.

The question we have to ask at times to ourselves if are we complacent and has the dust settled on us?

Are we a person who is on fire in our hearts with a passion to achieve something that is significant to us or our dreams?

Too many people today are walking around with little purpose in life or focus to accomplish what they want to.

The person who says I want to retire by age 50 but has not saved a penny by age 30 does not have their focus very likely in the right directions. It takes constant effort focussed in the right direction to allow our dreams and goals to take shape.

I have a reminder saying.

Miraculous things happen when faith and action comes together.

 words of wisdom

When God comes to us do we even notice?

people in crowd

When God comes to us do we even notice?

Jesus was laid in the tomb and as the prophets told us He would rise again but many wondered why He was even killed or what it even meant going forward. The people did not understand truly why, how or what the future would hold as they had forgotten in many cases the scriptures.

  • 13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. 15 As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; 16 but they were kept from recognizing him. Luke 21

These two people were so caught up in there concern and life they did not even recognize Jesus was walking with them.

In life we too can be so busy we do not recognize when Jesus is talking to us.

  • 25 He said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.

  • Luke 21:32

  • Would you be talking about what could have been?

  • Is it possible Jesus is talking to you but you are to busy to listen, too distracted by life?

  • 30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. 32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” Luke 21:32

  • What will we say to Jesus when He talks with us?

  • Will we only regret we did not know or recognize Jesus was talking with us

  • What will our excuses be

  • Too tired          Too busy      The kids had school stuff

  • Too worried about?           Excuses

  • Could see the forest for the trees

The truth that Jesus lives in our hearts when we accept Christ as Savoir is true.

Do we live as though Jesus is with us everywhere we go?

Would we have to change what we do on a daily bases if Jesus were right there with us? The truth is He is and if we need to change something that is a clear sign we need to take some time to listen, grow and change. There are days I have much to learn and unless I start my day with God and end it with Him it is easy to lose focus on what is important.

The things of life can distract us from what is really important, our relationship with Christ which is eternal.

The wonderful fact is that if we find we have neglected our relationship with Christ or even allowed it to grow cold we can allow Him to refresh our hearts and Spirits.

Life is spinning out of control

out-of-control-4

Is it possible to change our future or do you believe we are destined to a life of where you are?

Can I have a different job?

can I have a better relationship with my spouse or friends?

Can I have more income or a different quality of life?

Can I have a truly great spiritual life?

Can I change where I spent eternity?

Can I change things about my health?

Can I become smarter or understand more?

Can I move from pain to happiness again?

Can I turn my whole life around even though I am over 40?

Can I become someone people will like to be around?

Can I become a leader or influencer to others?

Can I change the world?

Do I have control over tomorrow or even my future?

Decisions are made with a choice to change something in our lives.  I am interested in what people think about these questions.  What do people believe we can control?

Are we puppets on a journey or do we have free will to change?

I know what I believe and will share it but let us discuss what people think and see if we can help some get answers to their questions.

Sorry, I have been missing my weekly posts but I am back on track now. Thank you to all who contribute and read these.
